Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

Mindset Moto ("we", "us") runs an online mental-performance education academy for motocross riders. We take privacy seriously, especially because many of our riders are under 18. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Who owns the account

Adults (18+) may create their own account. For riders under 18, the account is created and owned by a parent or legal guardian, who gives consent on the rider's behalf. We record the guardian's name, the account email and the date consent was given.

What we collect

  • Account details: email address, password (stored securely by our platform provider) or Google sign-in, and name if provided.
  • Rider profile: preferred name, age, and optional riding experience, focus area and notes.
  • Learning records: lesson progress, answers, exercise responses, goals, race events, race check-ins and written reflections.
  • Consent records: for riders under 18, the guardian's name, account email and consent date.
  • Messages and sign-ups: anything you send us through the Contact page, and your name and email if you join our tips list.
  • Payments: handled by Stripe. We receive your membership status, renewal date and a Stripe customer reference — never your full card details.

We do not ask for a rider's full legal name, address, school, photos or health information.

How we use it

  • To run your account and show lessons suited to the rider's age.
  • To save progress, goals and reflections so the rider can pick up where they left off.
  • To manage your membership and billing.
  • To reply to enquiries and provide support, and to send tips and updates if you asked for them (you can unsubscribe any time).
  • To keep the platform safe, including reviewing content where there may be a safety concern.
  • To improve the academy using de-identified, aggregated information.

We do not sell personal information, show advertising, or use advertising trackers.

Who can see it

Learning records are private to the account that created them and to Mindset Moto administrators. Nothing about a rider is ever shown publicly. We use trusted service providers to host the platform and handle sign-in; they process information on our behalf and some may store it outside Australia. We only share information otherwise if required by law or to protect someone's safety.

Safety

Mindset Moto is an education program, not a counselling or crisis service. If something a rider writes suggests they may be at risk of harm, we may contact the account holder. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 000.

Keeping information secure

Access to records is restricted by account, data is transmitted over encrypted connections, and administrator access is limited. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.

Access, correction and deletion

You can view and update rider details in Account at any time. To get a copy of your information, correct it, or delete your account and all associated records, contact us. We keep information only while your account is active or as needed to meet legal obligations.

Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We may update this policy. We'll show the date of the latest version at the top of this page.
